Iann Robinson has written an interesting blog entry called "I can't stand Harry Knowles," which you can read here.

I've hated Harry Knowles for years now, so it was a very refreshing read. I love the Aint It Cool News content... well, I used too. These days I cannot stand going to that site -- the web design is very user-unfriendly, the content is highly biased, and Harry is a total sellout / moron.

I am happy to announce my plans for 2008! Between 3.5e and 4e books, this year is shaping up to be a busy one. More importantly, I am happy to finally announce a new RPG I am developing -- Forgotten City!

Don't just take my word for it. Come by and check out the full listing of 2008 books, and some neat cover images too! See it all now at the official press release!

(I urge you all to create an account at Enworld (where the press release is) in order to leave feedback!)

Entertainment Weekly released their "Top 25 Scifi shows/movies of the last 25 years". Keep in mind that means 1982-today.
--------------------------------
25. V: the Miniseries (1984)
24. Galaxy Quest (1999)
23. Dr. Who (1963-Present)
22. Quantum Leap (1989-1993)
21. Futurama (1999-2003)
20. Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003-2005)
19. Starship Troopers (1997)
18. Heroes (2006-Present)
17. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
16. Total Recall (1990)
15. Firefly / Serenity (2002/2005)
14. Children of Men (2006)
13. The Terminator / Terminator 2 (1984 /1991)
12. Back to the Future (1985)
11. Lost (2004-Present)
10. The Thing (1982)
09. Aliens (1986)
08. Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994)
07. E.T. (1982)
06. Brazil (1985)
05. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
04. X-Files (1993-2002)
03. Blade Runner (1982)
02. Battlestar Galactica (2003-Present)
01. The Matrix (1999)
--------------------------------

I am pretty offended at the list. I have seen most, but not all of them.

-Battlestar Galactica should not be anywhere in the top 10, when compared to the others. It's good in some aspects, but it ain't that good.

-I despise Heroes and would like it off the list, especially considering the last season, but I can see why it is there. Still, I certainly don't think it should be higher than #20. Those other shows on the list are far better.

-I saw Star Wars Clone Wars, but I'd hardly consider it worthy of the top 25. That's just pure fanboyism creeping in. It's as if they realized that Star Wars isn't on the list and wanted to somehow sneak it in there.

-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? Really?

-Dr. Who should be much higher. It is consistently written far better than a number of those listed.

-Where's Babylon 5? Where's Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Where's Gattica? Where's The Last Starfighter? Since they insist on putting Futurama in the list (which wasn't very good), then where's Robotech? Where's The Iron Giant? Where's Akira?

Oh please.

Broken: The Multicorp is available now, and it is completely free!

The world of Solaris was destroyed 40 years ago. Broken: The Memory of Solaris follows the struggles of the survivors living in the void of space afterwards. A fantasy campaign setting, the survivors depend on magic, psionics or steam technology for air, heat, food and entertainment in the cold void.

Broken: The Multicorp is written as a mini-documentary from the perspective of Multicorp, a huge future corporation which exists on a plane neighboring Broken. Rather callous, they discovered the survivors of Solaris, and did nothing to help them. Instead they use Broken as chance for television ratings. Sending contestants to die in Broken, Vor Stevenson has created the smash hit Void Survivor.

Broken: The Multicorp is a free supplement to the core book, Broken: The Memory of Solaris, and will help introduce new players to this exciting universe!

Get it now!

My attempts to get my office mates to call me "McDreamy" or "McSteamy" has completely and utterly failed.

Even worse, it seems to have backfired. People are now calling me "McMuffin".

Dammit.

World War Hulk SUCKS (spoiler warning)

I was hooked from issue 1, but the final issue is out now and I feel like I am a victim of the old 'bait and switch'.

After the craptastic ending of CIVIL WAR, I didn't think Marvel could duplicate such mediocrity, but I WAS WRONG!

Planet Hulk was great, and I loved the current concept -- Hulk's planet, wife, and child were killed buy a warp core explosion; from the ship that sent him there. So he is back for revenge against the people who sent him there. They claim innocence, but hulk feels they are the root of all that happened.

But then BAM. In 3 lame-ass panels (in monochrome color to rub it in), we find out that they are not at fault at all. In fact, it was the planet's rebels that planted the old warp core. And worse of all, one of the Hulk's warbound companions was also responsible since he let it happened.

SO FREAKIN' LAME.

So for two years we have this fantastic story, and in just three panels we are told, "Hulk is an idiot, as so are the long time readers."

My God I am so angry.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
